Football is a fun sport, lets focus on the fun, fundamentals, teaching and learning. Winning is important, but the reason we are all here is to have fun, learn about football, and refine the kid's athletic abilities. If there is a conflict, bad call, or misunderstanding, please reach out to a league organizer so that we can help clarify and ensure everyone is on the same page. After games, please notify a league organizer of any conflicts and provide 24 hours for the adrenaline to cool down and resolve conflicts or questions,. If you have recommendations, or questions please reach out. Some kids may be in multiple sports. Please keep this in mind for practice and games. Make sure there is always open and clear communication with the kids, parents and league. If the kids on your team make a mistake, it is important to explain to the kid what the mistake was and assist and empower the athlete to find a solution on how they can improve or avoid the mistake going forward (fundamental quality of a coach). Frustrations can occur, but please keep in mind these are kids, and, like all people, are prone to make mistakes. Screaming or yelling at kids in an aggressive manner likely will not help them to avoid making the mistake again and will likely result in a tough conversation with the league operator. Most importantly the season and the game is about the kids, we want to ensure they are having fun and enjoying the sport.
The game is about you! If you don't understand something, please talk to your coach. Sportsmanship is the most important aspect of the game. Taunting will result in a penalty. We want you all to have fun and enjoy the game. Fighting or any behavior considered as bullying will not be tolerated and will result in potential penalty or suspension. Always encourage your teammates and give it your all. Most importantly have fun.
The game is about the Kids! Bad/missed calls occur at every level in every sport please try to understand that no one is perfect. Please reach out to a league organizer if you have a conflict with a coach, ref or other fan/parent. Teasing, taunting or other conduct considered as poor sportsmanship or bullying may result in you being asked to leave the facility. Sports are exciting but can also lead to high tensions please remember why we are all here (the kids). In moments of high tension the coaches are focused on the game and the kids so communicate with them after the game/practice. Contact your coach or a league organizer if a conflict occurs. Please give it at least 24 hrs for your issue to be resolved which allows ample time for all involved to have all information and for the heat of the moment to cool down. Please keep open and clear communication with your coaches. We understand many of our athletes are muti-sport athletes and that life happens please make sure to communicate with your coach about missed practices or games, if kids may be late or if any accommodations need to be made. We encourage all parents to get involved and learn the rules of the game. Please reach out to the league if you have any questions, concerns, or recommendations. The game is about the Kids and them having fun, learning and sportsmanship.
Please make sure to pick up after yourself, your kids, and your teams and keep our practice and game facility clean to ensure that we can continue using the school facility. Any damage to the facility caused by fans, parents, players or teams will result in loss of access to the facility.
